专利说明:

The present invention relates to a device for a suction protection formed by a circular obstacle for a scrubbing machine operating with a liquid which has a scrubbing brush rotatably driven by a motor about a vertical axis intended for scrubbing floors and similar surfaces.
There are problems with scrubbers that suction protection wears out and must be replaced and replaced with a new one. If only some of the known suction guards designed in ring form are worn, the entire ring with the suction guard must still be discarded and replaced with a new ring.
The attachment and retention of the said suction protection in the machine is also desirable to be able to take place in a simple but still efficient and safe manner. For example, SE 529 307 C2 shows examples of known annular suction protection for a hand-held scrubber.
The main object of the present invention is therefore primarily to solve e.g. the above problems in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Said object is achieved by means of a device according to the present invention, which is mainly characterized in that the suction protection is formed by annular pieces which can be interconnected into an annular shape with scraper strips supported therefrom.
The invention is described below as a preferred embodiment, reference being made to the accompanying drawings in which Fig. 1 shows in perspective obliquely from above a suction guard designed according to the present invention in assembled condition and in mounted position on a scrubbing machine, Fig. 1A shows the suction guard and the machine Fig. 2A shows the invention as individual parts seen obliquely from above, Fig. 2A shows a scraper strip from the side, in profile and the upper part thereof, Fig. 3 shows the invention seen obliquely from above and from outside, Figs. Fig. 4 shows an exploded view of the invention in assembly stage, Fig. 5 shows the invention straight from below, and Fig. 6 shows a side view of a scrubbing machine provided with suction protection.
A device 1 according to the present invention, which is intended to be applied to a suction guard 2 formed by a circular obstacle, intended for a scrubbing machine 4 working with liquid 3, for example of the type which is operated by hand and which has one of a motor around a vertical shaft 5 rotatably driven scrubbing brush 6, intended for scrubbing floors 7 and similar surfaces, and provided with a suction device for sucking up dirty scrubbing liquid 3, is formed by a divisible suction protection 2. More specifically, said suction protection 2 is formed by a plurality of annularly connectable ring pieces 8, 81, 82, with scraper strips 9, 91, 92, 9n supported therefrom. Said scraper strips consist of rubber, plastic or other suitable, preferably flexible material which does not risk damaging the underlying floor 7 during the cleaning stage with the machine 4.
The said ring pieces 8, 81, 82, which in the embodiment shown are three pieces but whose number can vary both downwards and upwards, have a suitable number of recesses 10-13 distributed along its longitudinal extent L. According to the invention, the respective scraper strips 9-9 "are received in the same and held therein, namely with a strip 9 ~ 9" in each recess 10-13.
Retention of the strips 9-9 ”is achieved in that these each have a thickened upper fastening end portion 14 10 15 20 25 30 while the remaining part 15 of the scraper strips has a substantially disc shape which is preferably straight.
The scraper strips 9-9 "have laterally extending projections 50, preferably in the form of barbs at a distance from the upper end 9A of the scraper strips, so that these barbs are arranged to at least make it difficult to pull up the scraper strips 9-9n in the operative position in the ring pieces 8-8 The scraper strips 9-9n, which preferably have a substantially T-shaped cross-sectional profile, are with the respective part 15 substantially congruent with the circumferential shape of the recesses 10-13 and all have equal length A or different lengths A and B, respectively. The said scraper strips 9-9 "are arranged obliquely to the circumferential shape of the ring in that the recesses 10-13 in the ring pieces 8-82 are arranged to extend, for example, tangentially in relation to the length extension L of the ring pieces and preferably overlapping each other with its respective inner portion 16 arranged at a common circular arc 17 and with its respective outer portion 30 arranged in an outwardly angled position at a common outer circular arc 19.
The said separate ring pieces 8-82 in turn have fastening means 20 so as to be releasably anchored to a said scrubbing machine 4, preferably projecting rivets or bolts 20 or other pin-shaped fastening means which are arranged to be pushed out from the ring pieces 8-82 or as releasably are arranged to be received in openings 21 located in the ring pieces 8-82, distributed at a mutual distance X along them.
In addition, a socket-shaped hose part 22 is arranged connectable to the respective ring piece 8-82 via a suitable congruent recess 23, and which can be fastened in the recess 23 for connection to a suction hose 24, end to end with this suction hose 24.
When sucking, the hose ends are pressed against each other. Through the formed negative pressure, they hold tightly in the joints. A said scrubbing machine 4 has an annular receiving part 25 with a number of fastening pins 26 distributed along the circumference of said part. By means of said receiving part 25, the ring pieces 8-82 are arranged so that they can be releasably attached to the machine 4 by being received in associated position in the intermediate position or upper thickened portion 14 of the scraper strips 9-9 "in associated recesses 10-13 in the ring pieces 8-82. and thereby be clampable between associated scraper strips 9-9 "and said compressed receiving ring 25. The barbs 50 are arranged to at least make it difficult to pull up the scraper strips 9-9" in operative fastening position in the ring pieces 8-82.
A suction device of a kind previously known per se can be arranged on the machine 4 for sucking up scrubbing liquid which accumulates effectively inside the said scraper strips 9-9 "acting as suction protection strips, which, like scrapers, collect the liquid and retain the liquid. inside the suction guard 2 until the machine has sucked it up and transported it via the lines 22, 24 to the intended reception point, e.g. a tank for receiving dirty cleaning fluid.
The function of the invention is described in detail and in principle as follows.
The machine 4 shown in Figs. 1 and 1A, on which the brush for scrubbing is not mounted and shown, has the suction guard 2 mounted and ready. The said scraper strips 9-9n are intended to always ensure that the water with which one scrubs does not end up outside the periphery of the formed ring but is scraped together and sucked up with a suction pump (not shown). The machine 4 shows the three suction points where the water 3 is sucked up from the base of the pump via the projecting hose parts 22 and further up through and further out connecting suction hoses 24 of e.g. dental stroke, through a hollow central shaft 51, which also functions for driving the suction ring 2 and brush 6. The drawing shows how the three angular hoses 24 join to the hollow rotatable shaft 51 in a spindle housing 52, which also works as a bracket for the brush 7, which is to be mounted inside the mounted ring. On the spindle housing 52 there is a pulley 53 for driving the shaft package and suction as well as bearing 54 for the shaft package and for fixing to the cleaning machine's chassis.
The fixing pins 26 form a spacer tower between suction guards mounted as suction ring 2 and interconnectable leaf springs 55 emanating from the center of the machine. .
It is also shown how the upper ring 25 forms a bracket for the split ring pieces 8 ~ 82 and the spacers 26 for the leaf springs 55.
Finally, it should be mentioned that said ring 25 and ring pieces 8 ~ 82 are assembled together by means of shown rivets 20 of plastic or by means of other suitable fastening means.
The function and nature of the invention will be apparent from the foregoing, but the invention is of course not limited to the embodiments described above and shown in the accompanying drawings. Modifications are possible, in particular as regards the nature of the various parts, or by the use of equivalent technology, without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the claims.
